An UPDATE after Hurricane Irma and Hurricane Maria from the captains and crew of Take It Easy...

We want to thank everyone for all the concern and support we have received following the impact of TWO category 5 hurricanes in September 2017 – Hurricane Irma followed two weeks later by Hurricane Maria. Your outpouring has made us feel loved and given us strength to get back on our feet.

The damage the Islands sustained was tremendous. St. John and the British Virgin Islands were hit the hardest since the eye of the hurricane went right over them. But the resilience of the people is strong and everyday a little better than the last proving that we will get through this.

The major hotels on St. Thomas are all probably at least six months away from any semblance of opening... some won't be open for almost a year. Because of this, we are assuming that anyone who was coming here to stay in our hotels have received a cancellation and will be postponing their vacation for the time being.

However, if you are planning a cruise ship vacation to St. Thomas or looking to book into a timeshare or private home, please be sure to contact us. Traveling to the USVI is the BEST thing you can do to help the islands. We can easily work with you to customize a wonderful day. The Caribbean Sea is just as beautiful as it always was and is the perfect way to enjoy your visit here.

If you would like to contact us, we can receive emails at dana@takeiteasyvi.com or going right to the Book It or Contact forms. However, sending back a response at the present time is difficult. We are very hopeful though that in the very near future we will be able to have more capability to do so.

Texting to 340-677-1320 is the best form of communication at present if you need an immediate response. You can also call, but the voicemail system is down so we cannot receive any recorded messages.

We are sorry if you have tried to communicate with us and not heard back. Please send another email or text us if a couple days go by without a response. We will provide updates on our website as things improve so please check back continuously.

We look forward to sharing our hurricane stories and pictures with you. Again, we thank you for your concern and support!
